Cancellation & Refund Policy

For Group Classes:

Due to the advanced nature of our class registrations, we are often not able to fill last minute vacancies created by cancellations or switches. To this end, we have created policies that we feel are accommodating to our clients and fair to RaisingMOM.

  • Full refunds will be given within 48 hours of registration but not after the first day of class.
  • If a class registration is cancelled after the 48-hr. grace period, clients will receive a center credit, less a cancellation/switch fee for each class. For classes $50 or more, the cancellation/switch fee is $10. For classes less than $50, the fee is $5.
  • If a class registration is switched after the 2 calendar day grace period, clients will need to pay the $5 or $10 cancellation/switch fee for each class they are switching.
  • Clients are able to make-up, up to 2 classes per series either during the current series or during the immediate next calendar series.
  • We do not give refunds due to changes in work or nap schedules, or if child does not want to attend anymore. However, in exceptional circumstances a class credit for a future semester may be given.
  • Exceptions for medical reasons may be made on an individual basis, and will require a physician’s written documentation.

  • All payments for class cards and series are non-refundable.

If RaisingMOM needs to cancel a class.

On occasion, due to instructor illness, lack of replacement or a facilities-related event, RaisingMOM is forced to cancel a class.

  • MOM only 6-week Series Classes: If RaisingMOM cancels one of these classes in a series we will schedule a make-up class to take place at the end of the series. If there is more than one cancellation in a series, we will provide a prorated class-only credit to be applied toward any future class.
  • Mom's First Steps: If RaisingMOM cancels one of these classes in a series we will schedule a make-up class to take place at the end of the series. If there is more than one cancellation in a series, we will provide a prorated class-only credit to be applied toward any future class.
  • Mommy & Me Classes: If RaisingMOM cancels a class you may make it up by dropping into another class session of the same class type.
  • Single Session Drop-In Class/Workshop/Lecture: If RaisingMOM cancels a single-session class, we will offer you the option of switching into another scheduled class of the same type. If there are not enough spaces in upcoming classes we will add a class to accommodate you. If we can’t find a class to meet your needs, we will provide a credit.
  • Series Education Classes: If RaisingMOM cancels one of the classes in a series we will add a make-up class at the end of the series. If more than one class is cancelled, the instructor will work directly with the class to either start earlier or end later for the remaining class sessions. The instructors may also condense the content to fit the remaining classes.
  • In-Home Consult: If in-home consultation is canceled by RaisingMOM due to illness or other by specialist, RaisingMOM will make all effort to either reschedule you with your choice specialist or make an appointment with another specialist of RaisingMOM in a timely manner.

Additional Policies:

  • In the case of inclement weather, travel may be inadvisable. We will post an alert on our Web site – www.raisingmomny.com two (2) hours in advance of your class to determine if it has been postponed or cancelled.
  • Classes may be cancelled in the case of insufficient registration, by the 3rd week of classes. Families will be asked to move to another time and day that is convenient for their schedule. A partial refund will be given only if time and day cannot be met.
